FSCO Professional Coaching Staff
The Figure Skating Club of Omaha has an excellent team of dedicated instructors. Our coaches teach year-round in our Learn to Skate program and are also available for one-on-one private instruction for all levels of recreational and competitive skating. All of our coaches are Rated members of the Professional Skaters Association (PSA) and have diverse competitive skating backgrounds. Each club professional is an “Independent Contractor” and all scheduling arrangements for private instruction must be made directly with them. FSCO strives to provide a safe environment for athletes that is free of misconduct, harassment, and abuse. In accordance with US Figure Skating SafeSport policy, all FSCO coaching staff have passed a background check and completed all SafeSport training as required by US Figure Skating. Senior Level Coaches
Andrea Kunz-Williamson
Skating Director
Andrea began her over 25-year coaching career for the Figure Skating Club of Omaha. She continued on to coach in Cleveland, OH and at the Indiana/World Skating Academy in Indianapolis, IN. She has successfully coached skaters through their USFS Gold medals and at Regional, Sectional, and National level competitions.

As a rated coach through the Professional Skaters Association, she holds a Master Rating in Freestyle, Master Rating in Moves in the Field, Master Rating in Group Instruction, and a Master Rating in Program Directing. She coaches beginner through senior level and adults in Freestyle, Moves in the Field, Choreography, Group, and On and Off-ice Conditioning.

Before her coaching career, Andrea was a competitive skater for FSCO, attaining Regional and Sectional level competition in Freestyle. Andrea also received her Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Creighton University in 1995.
Mindy Costar-Wayman

Mindy began her coaching career here in Omaha over 20 years ago. She went on to teach in Minnesota, California, New York and Michigan before returning to Omaha.
As an amateur, she received her gold medal in Ice Dance. She also passed her Junior Free Dance, Intermediate Freestyle and 4th Figure tests.
She has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado and a Master’s in education from UNO.

Alyssa Craig

Alyssa began her skating career at age 6 and has been a part of FSCO for over 16 years. Alyssa is a double Gold medalist in both Freestyle and Moves in the Field. She was also a competitive skater attending the Regionals Championship level. As a part of FSCO, Alyssa participated in various ice shows, competitions, and began coaching in the Learn to Skate Program.

Alyssa is a Rated coach through the Professional Skaters Association (PSA) and is a member of the US Figure Skating Association (USFSA). She holds a Master Rating in Group Instruction, a Certified Rating in Moves in the Field, a Certified Rating in Freestyle, and is CER Category B Certified. Alyssa has also successfully passed the Basic Accreditation Exam.
Aside from coaching, Alyssa works at the JCC of Omaha, assisting with youth programming and membership services. Alyssa is a FSCO Junior Board Co-Coordinator where she strives to positively engage FSCO’s youth skaters in various group events throughout the year.

John Ivanich

John grew up in Vancouver, Canada, competing in both singles and pairs (with his sister) from 1979-1988 at the national level. In addition to winning the Jr. Pair title in 1983, they also represented Canada internationally at Jr. Worlds, as well as other competitions in France, Germany and Russia. John is also a quadruple Gold Medalist in Figures, Freestyle, Pairs and Dance.

After retiring from amateur competition in 1988, he performed in a number of ice shows, including Disney on Ice and Ice Capades, as well as various theme parks in the U.S. and overseas, as a soloist and an adagio pair skater. Since 1998, John has coached in St Louis, Detroit, Iowa and Colorado, with students of all ages from beginner through the Gold level. He has also partnered both pairs and dance tests, as well as doing choreography for shows, tests and competitions.
He holds Registered Ratings in Dance and Group, Certified Rating in Freestyle and Moves in the Field.

Ann Kane

Ann began her love of skating right here in Omaha with the Figure Skating Club of Omaha. She started much like the students she coaches today, in Basic Skills classes at the age of 6. Ann went on to skate competitively until the age of 17, advancing to the Novice Freeskate level.
She has a Bachelor’s degree from Colorado College in Colorado Springs, where she skated with the Woman’s Recreational Hockey Team.
Ann’s return to the ice coincides with her daughter Camille’s new-found love of the sport after attending FSCO’s Baby You’re A Star Ice Show and seeing her mom skate. Ann is a member of the Professional Skater’s Association, a FSCO Junior Board Co-Coordinator, and has been coaching Learn to Skate classes for FSCO since 2014.

Junior Level Coaches
Alaina began her skating career at the age of 6 through the Learn to Skate program with FSCO. She has been a member of FSCO for more than a decade and skated competitively at the local and regional level up into high school. Alaina spent some time working on Ice Dance, performed in numerous ice shows, and continues to test her Moves in the Field.

She is currently an honors undergraduate student at UNO with a major in Biology. Alaina is studying within the Pre-Med track with the hopes of eventually becoming a pediatrician.
Alaina Mann
Lyndsy Willett
Lyndsy began her Skating career at the age 7 and has skated competitively until the age of 17 as
a Senior Gold level skater with the Figure Skating Club of Omaha. Along with attending and competing at the Championship level at Regionals, she has participated in various local ice shows and events.
Off the ice, Lyndsy pursued an education in Baking Pastry at Omaha’s Metropolitan Community
college and holds a career as a cake decorator.

Andrea DeKerseredy
Andrea was a competitive figure skater for over a decade in Canada and the United States, training with world figure skating championship medalists. She is a PhD student in sociology who holds two master’s degrees, one in social work and one in sociology.
Andrea has her gold medal in solo ice dance as well as her pre-novice competitive free skate, senior silver free skate (including elements) and has her certification in preliminary singles judging.
Andrea is accepting students on a limited basis.
Grace Stannard
Jason Chase
Jason began his skating career at the age of 13 here in Omaha, Nebraska. Throughout his teens, Jason skated competitively at the local and regional level in figures, ice dance and freestyle. Jason attends Metropolitan Community College, here in Omaha Nebraska where he is studying to receive his degree in Paralegal/Legal studies in December 2025.
In fall of 2024, Jason decided to come back to skating after a break to study and joined the Figure Skating Club of Omaha. As an adult skater, he continues to compete at non-qualifying competitions. Jason is currently working on his Adult Silver moves in the field, and Silver level Dance in both solo and partner.
Jason enjoys teaching Learn to Skate and low-level skaters in Basic Skills, Moves in the Field and Freestyle. Jason is a U.S Figure Skating Core Certified Coach, as well as a certified Learn to Skate USA Instructor.
